Snowflake challenge #6: my wish list.

I think I really have only one wish this year: to find someone I can call on for beta reading, cheerleading or just to talk things out when I've written myself into a corner.

I don't normally work with a beta because I find writing to be solitary. Sharing my ideas and letting someone else tell me what to do with them just rubs me the wrong way. Ditto with letting someone critique my writing, even if the aim is to make it better.

That said, whenever I join a Bang-type challenge, the rules state that a beta reader is preferred or required. I dislike breaking the rules, but I have yet to find someone I feel I can work with on a regular basis (or even just once) without breaking out in hives.

That said, if you or someone you know would be willing to make themselves available to me occasionally as a beta or just a friendly ear/alpha reader, let me know.

I hope you find someone for beta reading. It can be really tricky get into a partnership that works for everyone, but super rewarding when you do.
